The Journey of Creation: Embracing Art as a Form of Expression

As an artist, I have always believed that art is not just about creating something beautiful but about expressing the emotions, thoughts, and stories that words sometimes fail to capture. Every piece I create is a reflection of a moment, a feeling, or an experience. The journey of an artist is deeply personal and unique, and through this blog, I would love to share mine with you.

A Lifelong Passion

Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From childhood, I found solace in drawing, painting, and creating. My earliest memories are of sitting with a paintbrush in hand, making small art and craft projects under my father’s loving guidance. These early experiences sparked a passion in me that has only grown over time. Although I’ve been painting for years, it was in 2020 that I took the leap to become a full-time artist. Since then, every day has been a new adventure filled with discovery, learning, and growth.

The Art I Create

My artistic style is eclectic. I don’t like to restrict myself to a particular medium or style. I enjoy experimenting with different materials and techniques, which allows me to give each piece of work its own personality and life. My work ranges from abstract and contemporary pieces to modern interpretations of folk art. I use acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media to bring my ideas to life, always open to new ways of exploring creativity.

I’m deeply inspired by emotions, nature, and life experiences. Whether it's a fleeting moment of joy, a serene sunset, or the quiet contemplation that follows a life event, my work is my way of channeling these feelings into a visual language. Each brushstroke is a form of self-expression, and through my art, I hope to connect with others on an emotional level.

The Importance of Daily Practice

One of the things I’ve come to learn over the years is the importance of daily practice. Art isn’t just something you do once in a while; it’s a way of life. I believe that creating art every day, even in small ways, is essential to growing as an artist. It keeps the creative energy flowing, sharpens my skills, and most importantly, keeps me connected to what I love. Art, for me, is pure and sensitive—an evocative process that allows me to continually learn, evolve, and express myself.

Commissioned Work and Global Reach

I’ve been fortunate to work on various commissioned pieces for both individuals and companies, shipping my artwork across the globe—from the United States to Canada, the United Kingdom, India, and even Australia. Each commissioned project is a unique collaboration that brings together my vision and the client’s desires, resulting in a truly special creation.

Achievements and Recognition

Along this journey, I’ve had the honor of being featured in numerous exhibitions and art fairs across the world. From “NY Contemporary Art Fair” in Tribeca, NYC, to my recent feature in Artistcloseup Magazine. Being part of these events has not only given my work exposure but has also allowed me to connect with fellow artists, art lovers, and the broader art community.

Every recognition, every exhibition, and every feature is a milestone on this journey, and it fills me with immense gratitude. Art is a lifelong pursuit, and every new opportunity brings with it the chance to grow and share my passion with the world.

Looking Ahead

As I continue to evolve as an artist, I’m excited about the future. I’m constantly exploring new techniques, materials, and ideas to push the boundaries of my creativity. Through this blog, I plan to share more about my creative process, my inspirations, and upcoming exhibitions or projects.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Whether you’re an art collector, fellow artist, or simply an art lover, I hope my work resonates with you. Art, after all, is a universal language, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share mine with you.

Stay inspired, keep creating, and never stop exploring the beauty that art brings to life.

Warmly,
Richa Rashmi
